I know what your thinking I thought you were on a book buying ban until you finished a large chunk of those books that you have on your shelf and on your nook but I made an executive decision. If the book is one that I have wanted for a while and for a limited time it is $0.99 then it does not count. You hear that? This book does not count. I have not broken my New Year's resolution. Not yet.
Hereafter by Tara Hudson

Thank you for stopping by. I am super excited about a lot of the books that I got.
DeleteGreat set! Love Jessica's Guide. I want to read Hereafter.

Thanks. I first saw Hereafter at the library. On the shelf. Yet when I went to check it out it said that there was a problem with the book. It turned out that the book was not supposed to be on the shelf. There was a hold list with 12 people already on it. I was so close to reading it. I put it on hold myself. Then I saw it was 99 cents for Kindle and Nook. Even better than borrowing it from the library.
DeleteI loved Hereafter when I read it last summer! Can't wait for the new one to come out. Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hereafter sounds really interesting. I never knew that there was a sequel. I am going to have to check that out.
DeleteHaha I love the warning above the comment box, and the name of your blog - it's like you're trapped in a tower and the only escape you have is through books :). I will be looking forward to what you think of all the books you've got - especially "When Copper Suns Fall" - that's the one on your list that intrigues me the most.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Annie

Ahh! That is so sweet. I figure that if reader know that I will respond to their comments then they have to come back here to read it. And it they get a sudden urge to read anything else here, that's not my fault.
DeleteI am really happy that you like the name of my blog. You do not want to know how many names I went through before I found one that was both available and one that I liked. Let's just say that at one point I randomly hit keys just to see if Blogger was not broken.
Thanks for following. I love when people do that.
Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but whenever I write thank I always capitalize the 'h' as well as the 'T' I does not happen with any other word but thank.
I just bought a copy of Hereafter for my Kindle and am only a couple chapters in, but so far it's going really well!

I am so excited about that book. I want to try to get to it soon. I just have a lot of review books to get to.
DeleteThe problem is that I am a little behind my posting schedule. Posting everyday is way harder than it seems and I already thought that it was plenty hard to begin with.
Great Mailbox. You got some really good books. Hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!

A Beautiful Madness
Thank you. I have actually started to read a few of them already and I really liked them.
DeleteOn second glance, all the covers on your books last week were way better than the ones on mine :). Do you like the covers on Hunger Games trilogy? The third one wasn't ugly, but I feel that none of them did the writing any justice.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to Blogger so I was wondering if you could answer this for me - I posted a reply under your comment in my blog - do you get notified about that, or am I supposed to just sit and hope you check back? Because like you I reply all the comments I get and I just hope it's worth it.
Ahh, thank you. :-) I actually could not get into the Hunger Games. I can't even blame the violence because I did not get that far. I got up to the point where Katniss says that she tried to drown a cat and promptly threw the book across the room. I can, will, and have read books about people being tortured and killed but if an animal is harmed by the main character in any way that is not self defense I won't finish it. I can't. But the covers were interesting.
DeleteThere is a button/link to the right of the Publish button called Subscribe by email. If I or anyone else who comments clicks on it they will get a message that says Follow-up comments will be sent to blahblahblah@blahblah.com. It is an okay system because not only do I get emailed when you reply to my comment but when anyone relies to that post. I usually only press it if I think the blogger will reply to my comment because it can get really annoying if that post gets fifty comments and you get emailed for everyone of them.
It actually took my a while to figure out what the button was for because when I first started I thought I was going to ruin something by pressing it.
Ah, Katniss. Not the most lovable character I've encountered, that's for sure. I love the way she volunteers in her sister's place to go into the arena though. One of her [very few] redeeming moments.
DeleteThanks for enlightening me... there should be a checkbox where you get contacted only if someone replies to your comment directly, and not for every single comment under the post. I can't see anyone using a feature like that, so it probably means that with the exception of you, most of my replies to people's comments under my posts, go to waste :(. I will see if I can contact Blogger about changing it.
That would be so cool. And ever since they added threaded comments I have hope that they will continue to improve upon it. Glad that I could help you out.
DeleteAlthough there are probably ways to do it. It would most likely require changing the HTML though and that is a huge pain in the booty. I try to avoid that.
