In SUMMER BOYS, Beth, Ella, and Kelsi ruled Pebble Beach. Now it's time for 3 new girls to rock the summer.

JESSICA: Liam is the cutest guy I've ever seen and he loves the beach as much as I do. So how do I show him I'd make a better girlfriend than friend?

GREER I could be tanning on glam French beaches, but instead I'm "family-bonding" in Maine. At least the boys are hot - especially Brady. So what if he has a clingy ex-girlfriend?

LARA: Just my luck. I've fallen hard for the one boy who's totally off limits. If only I could stop kissing him...

Saying that I hated this book would be the understatement of the year. I had yet to give a one star review this year. At least until I read this book. There is always that one book that you have read that stops you from giving any other book one star because at least it was not as bad as that one that you wished could go unnamed. Summer Girls is that book for me. I will now compare every book I dislike to this one and because it will inevitably be better it will be saved with a two star rating.

Explanation:

Wow, those girls were shallow. A puddle was deeper than all three of them combined.

None of the girls were actually people so much as a stereotype. I could describe each girl with one word and all that you would have to add was girl hottie at the end. Greer, Jessica, and Lara were the mean girl hottie, sporty girl hottie, and the working working girl hottie. Done.

I am drowning in teenage lust. Each girl has one thing on their mind and that is to get a hot boyfriend because the fact that they are only going to be there for a month means that they will find their true wuv.

I hate Greer and hope she gets an STD and/or gets run over by a semi. This was exactly what I wrote when I read the book. My patience was being tried.

I have no sympathy for Greer, crappy family or not. She was a horrible person. That is not to say that the other two were at all tolerable but she was the most hated because she complained about what this one girl was doing to her and yet at the end of complaining she would mention that she had done that very same thing to others.

When they are not going boy crazy the book is almost tolerable which was about 1 page out of 20. That means that out of 250 pages there are only 12.5 readable pages.

You don't need guydar to tell if a guy is cute. Eyes help with being able to tell cute guys from non-cute ones. Although with how many guys dress like girls and visa versa being able to tell if the person is a guy from a girl might be less funny.

• Greer is just like Liam. She complains about what a player Liam is after seeing for two seconds and complains that Jessica likes him and yet through all of this does she say anything to Jessica. Of course not, that would have been too easy and way too nice.

She can dish it but she can't take it. Once again I am talking about Greer. The other two while at least half as repulsive as Greer are twice as boring and frustrating.

Greer deserved it.

I hate both Greer and Kaitlyn equally so I hope they kill each other.

Lara was a lying b****.

Jessica was insecure and clingy.

Lara is so stupid. You should not sleep with someone five seconds after asking to date them. Maybe that is just common sense and obviously none of these girls were born with any of that.

Am I the only person who was glad when things went wrong? When everyone started to hate each other I got really happy and decided to leave this book on a good note. It made me happy to think that they were all so unhappy and that they were never going back to Syphilis Beach. Yeah, I am not finishing this book or any other by Hailey Abbott because I can only foresee myself hating every one of her books.
