Musing Mondays (1)

MUSING MONDAYS is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading

This week’s musing asks…

Did you do any reading in lieu of watching the football game, yesterday, or were you foregoing reading to watch the game? If you read a book (or books) what did you choose?

I avoid having to watch football as much as possible. I really don't understand the game and I don't have derive any pleasure by watching sports. I don't care that a bunch of muscle bound men are running around in tight pants. I don't get excited about which team is winning or losing. I don't get caught in the other fans excitement. Football just bores me.

I did not watch the game yesterday despite the fact that everyone else who was home probably did. I did not even stay home yesterday. I was with my mom and my niece first at the beach and then at the mall. I did get in some reading but not a lot because my niece is only one year old. The book that I read was Abandon by Meg Cabot. I have been reading that book for what feels like forever and I really need to speed that puppy up. That is another story altogether.

  1. I am so with you there! Football is so boring and overrated! The only sports I watch are figure skating and gymnastics, and even then, very, very rarely. I don't have TV... why bother when you can read? :)

    1. I have a few TV shows that I like to watch but I mostly only watch them on Hulu when I am doing homework or else I would surf the net instead. It helps me stay focused. I don't like like having a TV in my room so I don't have one there. There is one in the living room but I can count on one hand how many times I have watched it. My problem is that if my brain is not engaged then I can not sit still.

I was in gymnastics for a while when I was younger. Now every time I see them I think that if we had been richer I could have been able to do that now.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Reading!
