MUSING MONDAYS is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading |
This week’s musing asks…
Did you do any reading in lieu of watching the football game, yesterday, or were you foregoing reading to watch the game? If you read a book (or books) what did you choose?
I avoid having to watch football as much as possible. I really don't understand the game and I don't have derive any pleasure by watching sports. I don't care that a bunch of muscle bound men are running around in tight pants. I don't get excited about which team is winning or losing. I don't get caught in the other fans excitement. Football just bores me.
I did not watch the game yesterday despite the fact that everyone else who was home probably did. I did not even stay home yesterday. I was with my mom and my niece first at the beach and then at the mall. I did get in some reading but not a lot because my niece is only one year old. The book that I read was Abandon by Meg Cabot. I have been reading that book for what feels like forever and I really need to speed that puppy up. That is another story altogether.
I am so with you there! Football is so boring and overrated! The only sports I watch are figure skating and gymnastics, and even then, very, very rarely. I don't have TV... why bother when you can read? :)
ReplyDeleteI have a few TV shows that I like to watch but I mostly only watch them on Hulu when I am doing homework or else I would surf the net instead. It helps me stay focused. I don't like like having a TV in my room so I don't have one there. There is one in the living room but I can count on one hand how many times I have watched it. My problem is that if my brain is not engaged then I can not sit still.
DeleteI was in gymnastics for a while when I was younger. Now every time I see them I think that if we had been richer I could have been able to do that now.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Reading!
